First LEED for Healthcare in Florida

Last week, The Spinnaker Group, LEED and Sustainability Consultants in Florida, received confirmation that they certified their 107th LEED Project. The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute and Cancer Institute (NI/CI) is the first LEED for Healthcare project in the state of Florida. The new construction facility in Weston has committed to building and operating healthy environments
for work and healing. By pursuing certification of the facility through the LEED for Healthcare rating system v 2009, the Owner committed the Team and the Project to pursuing green goals and enhanced sustainable performance. This 141,000 square foot facility is achieved LEED Silver certification by pursuing various credits for the site and facility location, improved water and energy efficiencies, the use of recycled and regional resources and indoor environmental quality. It is one of several LEED certified facilities by owned and operated by Cleveland Clinic.
