Kuwait International Airport Pursues LEED

The Spinnaker Group is excited to announce that we will be consulting the Kuwait International Airport on LEED certification! With increase capacity this redesign of the country’s international airport will act as a breathtakingly beautiful regional hub for air travel. “The terminal has a trefoil plan, comprising three symmetrical wings of departure gates. Each façade spans 1.2 kilometres and all extend from a dramatic 25-metre-high central space.” – Foster + Partners

The project will pursue LEED Gold certification and will keep cool in one of the hottest climates in the world through such methods as efficient glazing, cascading water features, and through lush oasis and native plant landscapes. The project will also run solar pv across the entire roof area.

We are proud to be brought onto this project by Gulf Consult and look forward to its success!
