Founded in 2003, the award-winning Spinnaker Group helps facilitate the delivery of the highest quality, sustainable building projects. Using an integrated team approach with a diverse range of clients, the firm has more than 130 LEED Certified projects under its belt and more than 600 million sf of commissioned building space to its credit. In addition to tapping USGBC’s LEED and other ratings systems as anchors of its sustainable consulting, Spinnaker’s team of professional architects and engineers offers project management, energy modeling, fundamental and enhanced building commissioning, Living Building Challenge, SITES, WELL … and more.
“Rob and Virginia have built an enviable, top-notch team of experts, achieving a longstanding reputation as one of the world’s finest and most respected green building consulting firms,” says Burgess, who will assume the role of President and Principal-in-Charge. “They’ve asked me to build upon that legacy, and I look forward, with their continued help, to ushering Spinnaker into a new generation of green building and sustainability leadership.”
Rob Hink will be consulting with Spinnaker as Founding Principal. He and Burgess have already started working side-by-side to ensure a smooth transition with client relationships and current operations.
“Virginia and I are thrilled that Jonathan recognizes the strength of Spinnaker, as well as its future potential,” says Hink. “It’s been an amazing, extremely fulfilling journey, and I could only pass the torch to someone as passionate about green building as I am. Jonathan has been an important part in building our brand. Under his leadership, we are well positioned to continue to grow our business and deliver the highest levels of value-added support to our clients.”
