The Spinnaker Group is excited to announce the hiring of Michael Lydon II as a Building Commissioning Agent! As the newest member The Spinnaker Group, Michael brings over 12 years of expertise in project management, facility condition assessment, sustainment planning, lifecycle-based computer modeling, cost forecasting and commissioning. He has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech, along with a E.I.T. (engineer-in-training) certification.
As a project manager, team leader and facilities engineer, he has conducted condition assessments for many organizations, facilities, and building types for an array of federal, state, and local government clients throughout the U.S., it’s territories’, and internationally. His portfolio includes the completion of hundreds of condition assessments of national research laboratories, agriculture, military/defense, diplomatic, space, aviation, nuclear, energy, mining, healthcare, university, K-12, and municipal facilities.
As a commissioning engineer, he worked with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that all building systems perform efficiently and interactively according to the design intent, and meet the owner’s operational needs. His commissioning projects include residential, hotels, commercial and government facilities.
Through his career he has gained an extensive knowledge of facility operations, building systems and components including architectural, MEP systems, and site utilities.
